Medicina, based in Blackrod, provided essential supplies to Lagan’s Foundation to improve practical training for carers. The donation includes nasogastric feeding tubes, gastrostomy kits and enteral syringes in various sizes. The charity will use these items solely for training purposes.
The contribution will help carers gain hands-on experience with real medical tools, improving their skills and confidence. It also reduces the charity’s spending on costly training equipment, allowing more funds to support families of children with heart conditions and other complex medical needs.
Carren Bell, founder and chief executive of Lagan’s Foundation, welcomed the donation and said it would make a meaningful difference. She noted that the support allows the organization to focus more resources on helping parents who rely on its services.
The charity operates from Futura Park in Middlebrook and provides practical and emotional support to families across the region. Training plays a key role in preparing carers to deliver safe and effective care at home.
