As the senior population continues to grow, families are looking for assisted living options that offer more personal and attentive care. While larger communities may provide many amenities, the right care depends on how well a facility understands and supports each resident.
This is where Majestic Residences takes a different approach to senior care. Founded by Chuck Bongiovanni, CEO & Co-Founder, the company operates small residential assisted living homes that provide non-medical senior housing services. With homes accommodating around six to sixteen residents, Majestic Residences focuses on personalized care supported by technology and care management tools.
Bongiovanni’s vision comes from nearly three decades of experience in senior care. Through his previous franchise system, CarePatrol, he spent years touring and evaluating senior care facilities. During that time, he saw that many facilities were not fully meeting the needs of their residents. This experience led him to believe that there was a better way to provide senior care.

From Experience to a Better Way
Chuck spent nearly 30 years working with the last franchise system he founded, CarePatrol, a senior placement agency whose franchisees help families find appropriate assisted living for their aging loved ones. His extensive experience touring and vetting facilities and care homes exposed him to an important concern: many facilities simply weren’t meeting the needs of the residents in their care.
He believed there was a better way and knew that he wanted to be the one to create it. For years, he had believed that smaller residential assisted living homes were the answer. However, the industry had historically been extremely fragmented and disorganized. “Mom and Pop” types of places often had no universal standard of care and were typically behind the curve on new technology.
For him, this presented an opportunity to bring greater structure, updated technology, and care management tools into smaller residential environments. Majestic Residences was created around the belief that families could receive improved care delivery without sacrificing the more personal setting of a residential home.
Creating a More Personal Residential Model
Majestic Residences began in June 2020, with franchisees operating small residential assisted living homes that provide non-medical senior housing services. These residential settings generally accommodate between six and 16 residents.
The company began its journey amid the COVID-19 pandemic, when nursing homes and large assisted living communities were hit hard with COVID-19 deaths. During this period, families began shifting away from the large, “big box” type of facilities and became more comfortable moving their loved ones into smaller, more controlled environments.
This shift reinforced the value of the residential model Majestic Residences had chosen. Smaller homes can create a more controlled setting while allowing care to be tailored more closely to each resident. For families, the approach provides an alternative to the larger communities that often dominate the senior care market.
At its core, Majestic Residences is focused on creating a setting where residents can receive the attention they need while continuing to live as independently as possible.
A Mission Built Around Ageless Possibilities
At the heart of Majestic Residences is a clear commitment to changing how senior care is approached. Chuck explains, “The mission of Majestic Residences is to create an environment where our residents can live with Ageless Possibilities.”
Unfortunately, many healthcare professionals aren’t immune to “ageism” and often will assume that an elderly person is someone with limitations. While Majestic Residences knows that its residents aren’t going to run marathons, its goal is to help them live as independently as possible and never make assumptions about what they can and cannot do.
This philosophy shapes the company’s approach to residential care. Instead of defining residents by age or limitations, Majestic Residences focuses on understanding their individual needs and creating an environment that supports their independence.
Addressing the Gaps in Traditional Assisted Living
One of the challenges in senior care is that families may naturally gravitate toward larger assisted living communities because of their strong branding and name recognition. Many people don’t even know that smaller homes are available.
According to Chuck, families may choose a big company simply because they recognize the name, which can sometimes have terrible outcomes when the resident’s care needs do not match the facility’s capabilities. Each resident’s needs vary, and some require more customized types of care than a facility can provide.
Large facilities may offer amenities that appear impressive to family members during a tour but are not necessarily accessible to the residents who live there. A beautiful dining room, for instance, may have limited value if it is thousands of feet away from a resident’s apartment.
Supervision is another concern. Many seniors need more supervision than what can be provided at a larger facility, which can result in residents being restricted to staying in their rooms alone most days. The image portrayed in marketing materials, where all residents are equally involved in activities, may not always reflect what happens in reality.
Majestic Residences addresses these challenges through its smaller homes, where care can be more individually tailored to each resident’s personal needs. Its homes are usually staffed with one caregiver per five or six residents, compared with larger assisted living facilities that could have one caregiver for 15 to 20 residents.
This higher staff-to-resident ratio allows the company to give residents more of the one-on-one attention they need and deserve.
Technology Supporting Better Care
Personalized care is strengthened by technology at Majestic Residences. The company’s homes are positioned as some of the most technologically advanced in the nation, with each home equipped with Electronic Health Records and software supporting meal preparation, employee records, and other operational needs.
The company has also introduced a new radio-wave technology that detects when an adult brief is wet. The system alerts caregivers and records how long it took them to make the change.
This technology supports more than operational efficiency. It decreases the risks of skin breakdown and infections while also supporting self-dignity for residents. By combining technology with hands-on care, Majestic Residences is bringing updated tools into an environment that remains centered on personal attention.
Building a Network of Senior Care Services
Majestic Residences is not limiting its ambitions to residential assisted living. The company is currently in the final phases of creating a portfolio of other senior-related franchise systems. Each system in this portfolio will offer services that complement the others, creating a connected approach to senior care.
Chuck explains the broader vision: “Our goal is to build a network of brands whose missions and values align with ours to increase seniors’ quality of life throughout the various stages of aging and care needs.”
This strategy reflects the company’s broader vision for growth, as Majestic Residences aims to develop complementary services that can support seniors and their families as their needs change over time. It also allows the company to extend its mission beyond residential assisted living and contribute to seniors’ quality of life throughout different stages of aging and care.
Scaling Through Franchise Growth
The company’s expansion is also being driven by its franchise model. New franchisees are already creating momentum by purchasing existing residential assisted living operations and converting them into Majestic Residences branded homes.
At the same time, existing residential assisted living owners are coming to the brand because they need more support and see the power of cohesive branding. This growing interest provides Majestic Residences with an opportunity to expand its model while giving independent operators access to a stronger support structure.
For the company, scaling is therefore not simply about adding more locations. It is about bringing its model, technology, care standards, and values into more residential assisted living homes.
Recognition for a Growing Vision
The approach has also begun receiving recognition within the senior care sector. Majestic Residences was added to Senior Housing News’ “Five Senior Providers To Watch” list, highlighting the company among organizations attracting attention in senior housing.
The company is also set to appear on Kevin Harrington’s, an original Shark Tank member, new show “American Entrepreneur.” These recognitions provide further visibility for a company working to establish a distinct model within residential senior care.
A More Personalized Future for Senior Care
Majestic Residences was built from Chuck’s firsthand experience of the gaps that can exist within senior care. His nearly three decades in the industry gave him a close understanding of the challenges families face when searching for the right environment for their aging loved ones.
Today, the company is applying that experience through smaller residential settings, higher staff-to-resident ratios, technology-supported operations, and a commitment to individualized care. Its expansion into complementary senior-related franchise systems further reflects its ambition to support seniors throughout different stages of aging and care needs.
With its franchise network growing and its portfolio of services expanding, Majestic Residences continues to build on the belief that senior care can be more personal, more responsive, and better aligned with individual needs. At the heart of the company’s mission remains the goal of creating an environment where residents can live with Ageless Possibilities, while receiving the attention, support, independence, and dignity they need and deserve.
